We are going to explore why we need bridges, how people can be bridges for each other, how bridges can access barriers and how bridges help us to make connections. As well as drawing on stories from different faiths, we shall also be looking at how bridges are constructed and the importance of deep and strong foundations. Mr Alder (a parent) has kindly offered to come and talk to the children as he works as a civil engineer and has been responsible for the design and construction of a number of bridges.
