Sunday, December 13th, 2009I would like to thank all the children and staff who worked so hard to make the Christmas concerts so enjoyable. I am sure that you will agree that the children were an absolute delight to watch. Well done everyone. If you would like a permenant record of the concert, DVD’s are available from the First School Office at a cost of £6.00.
Last Day of Term and Candle Lit Service
Sunday, December 13th, 2009Friday 18th December
This is the last day of term and we finish school at 2.40pm. Children should come to school in school uniform. On this day your child may bring a special lunch time treat to school in their packed lunch. Most children like to bring a Christmas cracker which they love pulling with a friend, and a chocolate treat.
Our Candle Lit service will take place at 2pm. This is for pupils and staff only. We feel it is important that we end the festive celebrations by remembering the reason for Christmas. At this time we come together to reflect upon Christmas, read the Christmas story, sing carols and light candles.
Christmas Show – Tuesday 15th December
Sunday, December 13th, 2009We have arranged for a theatre company to perform “Pinocchio” in the morning. May we please ask for a voluntary contribution of £2.50 for this performance which should be bought to school by Friday 11th December in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and class on the front. It is important that we have good support as otherwise we may not be able to proceed with this type of event in the future. The show promises to be great fun and more importantly, will give the children the opportunity to be an audience having performed four concerts and a Dress Rehearsal!
